The barrel, screw cap and fitments are made from polypropylene (PP) with a thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) gasket and all components are autoclavable for sterilization before use. It is designed for storing and dispensing solutions and culture media and is suitable for use with sterile water; the barrel is molded with 1-gallon and 5 L scale markings to aid liquid-level identification during operation. The product is non-sterile and supplied without a tap in cases of three units.
